Delete your WordMend account
WordMend Clarity, published by IQ Source.
Effective date: 27 August 2026
This page explains how to delete your WordMend Clarity account and the data attached to it. You do not need to install the app to use it. It says the same thing our privacy policy does, in one place.
Two ways to do it
From inside the app
- Open WordMend Clarity.
- Go to Settings, and find the Account section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation. It lists exactly what disappears.
- Tap Delete permanently.
The deletion runs straight away. Your account and every row attached to it are removed from our servers, the app erases its copy from your device, and you are signed out. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it.
If the deletion fails — no internet connection is the usual reason — the app tells you so and nothing is deleted, on the server or on the device. Nothing is queued for later: you try again when you are back online.
By email
If you cannot open the app, or you would rather we did it, write to support@iqsource.ai from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your WordMend account. We delete the account and every row attached to it within 30 days and confirm by email.
We may have to ask you to confirm the request from the account’s email address. That is the only way we can tell your request apart from someone else’s request to delete your data.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account, on our servers and on the device you delete from:
- Your account and the email address it was created with.
- Exercise sessions, individual attempts, and the cognitive scores calculated from them.
- Word mastery progress and review scheduling.
- Difficulty profiles and the history of automatic difficulty changes.
- Symptom logs, including the severity ratings and the free-text notes you attached to them.
- Goals, their progress updates and their milestones.
- Professional progress records.
- App preferences, daily usage counters and streaks.
- The pending sync queue.
- The encryption key held on your device for your symptom notes.
Deletion is real deletion. There is no hidden copy, no soft-deleted flag, and no archive we can restore from. Once it is done, we cannot bring any of it back, and neither can you.
What is kept, and why
- Subscription and billing records. If you ever subscribed, we keep the record of the transaction for as long as accounting rules and billing disputes require. It is kept for that purpose only.
- Server logs. Ordinary security and troubleshooting logs may hold your IP address for a short period. They are not linked to your account after it is gone.
- Backups. Routine encrypted backups taken before your deletion age out on our hosting provider’s normal rotation. We do not use them to restore a deleted account.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, and it does not refund one. Apple bills it, and only Apple can cancel it:
- iPhone, iPad or Mac: Settings, tap your name, Subscriptions, choose WordMend, cancel.
Cancel there first if you do not want to be charged again.
Data that never reaches us
WordMend Clarity works without an account. If you never signed in, nothing you recorded ever left your device, and there is no account to delete. Uninstalling the app removes the local database and the encryption key with it.
