The Challenge
Repuestos COYBO has imported heavy equipment parts since 1983 and serves customers from Grecia, Alajuela, in Costa Rica. Its catalog of more than 7,300 products lived inside a desktop ERP built on Visual FoxPro: prices, stock and descriptions that only internal staff could look up. A customer who wanted to know whether a hose was in the warehouse had to call and wait. There was a structural problem on top of that: the ERP's product lines identified suppliers and brands, not product types, so there was no classification anyone could reuse to browse the catalog in a store.
The Solution
We built a FastAPI layer that reads the ERP live, with no migration and no duplicated catalog, and on top of it a Next.js 16 storefront where every product shows its tax-inclusive price and its real stock. Checkout takes SINPE Movil and card payments through ONVO Pay, and once payment clears the order goes back into the ERP as a proforma, ready for the team to invoice through their usual process. For navigation, we classified the catalog by each product's description into 18 categories named the way the trade names them in Costa Rica.
Key Features
- Live catalog on top of the ERP, with no data migration
- Tax-inclusive price and real stock on every product
- SINPE Movil and card payments through ONVO Pay
- Paid orders return to the ERP as a proforma
- 18 categories classified from the product description
- Search by name, part number or brand
Results
The site went live in August 2026 with more than 7,300 products published and 95% of the catalog classified automatically into the 18 categories. Customers check price and stock without calling, buy at any hour, and the Repuestos COYBO team receives every order inside the same ERP they already work in. The whole project took 8 weeks.
